Where can i buy a purebred German Shepherd puppy in Houston Texas?
i want a German Shepherd puppy. preferably not older than 8 weeks old. I live in Houston texas and i dont want it to be TOO long a drive away, but a few hours would be okay.i also want a purebreed. I'm thinking of purchasing from Von Der Otto Kennels becuase they're expecting a litter pretty soon….oh and only male…thnx!=)
dont use sites like puppyfind.. you will find nothing but puppy mills and back yard breeders there.
try www.petfinder.com you can find purebred puppies in rescue..
also try getting a referral thru the German Shepherd club.. to a breeder who does show/work their dogs and genetic health tests to assure healthy animals.. http://www.gsdca.org/base/index.php
8 weeks is the youngest you can get.. no one in their right mind would sell a pup any younger.. many reputable breeders actually keep their pups until 10-12 weeks of age!

Go to puppyfind.com. Type in the breed you want and then search locations. It's a really great website!

I dont breed dogs but i Do have a purebred german shepherd that i brought from germany when i was stationed out there. Unfortunately, due to military obligations and a upcoming deployment I need to get rid of her before oct. I have pics if any one is interested. I’m asking 1200 and the only reason im asking that much is because when i was in california lapd offered that much to buy her! Purebred with papers. Let me know if anyone is interested. Never been bred about 2 years old. Great family dog.
